Gerakan Pelestarian Lingkungan Bagi Masyarakat Pesisir Sulawesi Tengah

Abstract

The majority of the livelihoods of coastal communities, especially those in Tengah Island, are fishermen. However, awareness of environmental sustainability is often ignored. Through this KKN service program, we are here to realize an environmental awareness program for the local community. This assistance aims to identify efforts to increase knowledge and analyze patterns of environmental knowledge about natural resources that are responsive to the people of Tengah Island. This assistance uses the ABCD approach. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of this dedication show that the efforts used to increase knowledge about the environment are discussions, determining the focus of mentoring, mentoring resource persons, aims and objectives of mentoring, and outputs of mentoring. Responsive environmental learning patterns are carried out by mapping assets, generating a spirit of improvement, managing assets, and changing actions. The results of the community's understanding of environmental awareness before and after assistance have increased the empowerment of natural resources and human resources which are suitable for longterm application in order to achieve a tourism village
