Pengembangan Produksi Minyak Kelapa Asli di Desa Kota Mulya Kecamatan Asera

Abstract

Kota Mulya Village is in Asera District, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Kota Mulya village is a typical area with coconut trees, one of the plantation commodities in Asera District, especially Kota Mulya village. The community owns many coconut trees and uses them as copra to sell. The coconut plant, whose fruit is made into copra, which can produce oil, is used by the Kota Mulya Community as a livelihood for the residents there. This work program aims to increase innovation in coconut products using coconut milk as the raw material and increase the variety of MSME products in the village of Kota Mulya. It also adds insight into products made from coconut milk as raw material for the people of Kota Mulya. The design and method of service in this research is by conducting outreach on the potential that exists in Anggondara village, namely the use of sawdust waste. Then this service uses the Asset Base Community Development (ABCD) approach. This approach emphasizes the community being able to manage the assets in this village. After mentoring by students, it was found that coconuts which were not processed into copra and were only thrown away and not used properly by the people of Kota Mulya Village, could be processed into a valuable product by being converted into genuine coconut oil which could be utilized by the people of Kota Mulya Village in household needs and as a cholesterol medicine.
