Leadership of Madrasah Heads in Facing Global Competition: Narrative Study at MTs Al-Khairaat South Konawe (Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah dalam Menghadapi Persaingan Global : Kajian Naratif di MTs Al-Khairaat Konawe Selatan)
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the leadership of the madrasa head at MTs Al-Khairaat South Konawe, the managerial skills of the madrasa head in developing educational institutions at MTs Al-Khairaat South Konawe, as well as the head of the madrasa in facing global madrasa competition. The type of research used is qualitative research with a narrative approach. The results of the research show that: 1) The leadership of the madrasa head at MTs Al-Khairaat South Konawe is a leader who carries out his role as an educator increasing teacher professionalism, as a manager influencing subordinates in achieving goals, as an administrator providing direction to teachers in the learning process of making lesson plans, as a supervisor carrying out clinical supervision, as a leader enforcing discipline, as an innovator, renewing learning models, as a motivator providing motivation, direction and policy to teachers. 2) The madrasa head's skills in developing educational institutions are by applying managerial skills such as conceptual, human and technical skills. 3) Madrasa head in facing global madrasa competition at MTs Al-Khairaat South Konawe by improving the quality of education and improving the quality of teaching staff by directing them to take part in activities related to education.
