Focus and Scope
AL-MUNZIR is a scholarly journal that specifically focuses on the study of communication science, particularly since 2019, after previously serving as a journal for communication science and Islamic guidance.
Al-Munzir received articles from academics, researchers, journalists and national or international students in the fields of Communication Science, Islamic Broadcasting Communications, Da'wah Science, Journalism, Public Relations, and Miscellaneous or Various multidisciplinary sciences related to communication studies.
Peer Review Process
Al-Munzir Journal applies a Double Blind Process system, that is, both parties (author and reviewer) do not know the treatment given to avoid bias. This means that the author does not know which reviewer his article will be given/examined to. Likewise, reviewers do not know whose article they will examine.
Articles are published in May and November. Published in May, articles are accepted no later than April. While publication is in November, articles are accepted no later than Oktober
Articles accepted by the editorial board are given to the Editor in Chief for review and initial selection. Articles that are received are then checked by two peer reviewers regarding the suitability of the content and contents of the writing. Recommendations from the two expert partners will be considered in the second stage in accepting or rejecting the article, whether the article will be accepted (immediately accepted and processed), revised (with several improvements) or rejected (rejected with various considerations). )". Articles that go through a revision process by the Author will then be layouted by the editorial board and then displayed as selected articles in the volume edition published.
Publication Frequency
Published every May and November. Articles to publish in May are received no later than April. Meanwhile, articles for publication in November are received no later than Oktober

This journal has established a collaborative partnership with a professional organization in the field of communication science and engages in collaboration with experts specializing in the management of communication science journals, namely APJIKI (Association of Indonesian Communication Science Journal Publishers).
Established and supported by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti), it constitutes a pivotal locus for the genesis of nationally recognized and accredited journals, with a particular emphasis on the field of communication.

Journal History
The Al-Munzir Journal, a biannual scholarly periodical, is published semiannually in May and November. Its inception can be traced back to the year 2009, when it was established under the patronage of the Department of Islamic Preaching at STAIN Kendari. Initially disseminated in a printed format, the Al-Munzir Journal was formally bestowed with the ISSN 1979-4894 on February 7, 2012. Subsequently, the journal underwent a digital metamorphosis, culminating in the acquisition of its online ISSN 2620-326X on March 21, 2018, under the supervision of IAIN Kendari.
In the wake of its attainment of SINTA Level 4 accreditation in 2019, Al-Munzir underwent a strategic realignment, directing its scholarly pursuits toward the domain of communication science. This reorientation is presently administered by the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Studies Program within the academic framework of IAIN Kendari.
The following presents the information chronologically based on the timeline:

Inception (2009):
- The Al-Munzir Journal was established under the aegis of the Department of Islamic Preaching at STAIN Kendari.

Printed Format and ISSN Assignment (February 7, 2012):
- The initial publication medium was in printed format, concomitant with the official assignment of the ISSN 1979-4894.

Transition to Online Format and Online ISSN Acquisition (March 21, 2018):
- The Al-Munzir Journal underwent a transformative shift to an online modality, securing its online ISSN 2620-326X under the institutional affiliation of IAIN Kendari.

SINTA Level 4 Accreditation (2019):
- Al-Munzir achieved the prestigious SINTA Level 4 accreditation status.

Post-2019: Research Focus Realignment:
- Subsequent to accreditation, the scholarly focus of Al-Munzir underwent strategic realignment, with a heightened concentration on the field of communication science. This realignment is currently steered by the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Studies Program within the academic milieu of IAIN Kendari.
