Author Guidelines

  1. Al Lughawiyaat is a scientific journal publishing articles mainly related to English Education, Linguistics, Literature, and Applied Linguistics concerned on the theory of language and practice of language learning including second language acquisition and the teaching and learning of second or foreign language. We accept any research-based and concept-based articles which have never been published anywhere else and are not plagiarized.
  2. Al Lughawiyaat calls for papers from different national and international scholars and researchers. The articles published will be through the process of blinded review by peer-reviewers.
  3. A submitted article is written in the MS Word format using English or Arabic within 5 pages included references or consists of 2,000 – 2,500 words.
  4. The article should be written with normal margin; left margin 2.5 cm, right margin 2.5 cm, bottom margin and upper margin 2.5 cm.
  5. The submitted articles should include the following sections; Manuscripts should contain the components of the following scientific articles, namely: (a) title of the article, (b) author's name (without a title), (c) author's affiliation, (d) abstract and keywords, (e) introduction  (f) methods, (g) results and discussion, (h) conclusions, and (i) reference.
  6. Writing format used is in accordance with American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition.
  7. The articles should be submitted through online submission as stated on the guideline.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
