Plagiarism

To check for possible plagiarism, use the Turnitin application.

Articles must have under 20% plagiarism.

Plagiarism includes:

  1. Verbatim Plagiarism. The author uses another author's words (exactly) without citing the source.
    Plagiarism of a Source. The author uses another person's ideas without adequate acknowledgement (without explicitly citing the source).
  2. Authorship Plagiarism. The author claims to be the author of another person's document.
  3. Self-Plagiarism. This type of plagiarism includes authors who publish more than one article and recycle their own work.
